Power of Prayer-Sometimes we have to pray for the smaller things before we can pray for the larger things

It doesn't take long to pray.  But how often do we get busy and at the end of the day and unwind with a TV show or movie.  I am guilty at this as well but I have really been trying to focus more on prayer the past 2 months and WOW!  The power of prayer is so amazing!  I have been focusing on 3 people I wanted to pray for for a few weeks now.  One was my mom, my roommate and another old friend.  Recently I added two more people, obvi that guy that was saved on Sunday and one person that that really needs prayer to help her stop doing the terrible things she is doing.  I am not yet ready to cross any of the 1st three people off my list yet so now I will be focusing on 5!

The good news:  My roommate has been having a hard time while working and taking online classes, I have seen her stressed but never this stressed.  My prayer was focused on her becoming closer to God but when I started to notice her stress level I changed the prayer to reducing her stress.  She did not know
I was praying for her, I told her last night that I was and she said ya know I'm way less stressed this week.  She really could see a difference and this morning she sent me a text say "Thank you so much for praying for me!! I truly believed it has helped me!!!"

This story reminders me as a Christian that we have to pray for the smaller things sometimes before we can pray for the larger things.  I am praising God for answering my prayer for my roommate!
